Ricky Shane and Laikyn serve as Volunteer Pastors at The River Church in Tickfaw, Louisiana. They first met on an LDYM mission trip to Loveland, Colorado in 2011 and have shared a love for people, ministry, and great food ever since.

Ricky Shane works for Johnson Controls Inc., and Laikyn holds an undergraduate degree in Small Business Management from Southeastern University. They previously served as Section 1 Directors from 2018–2021 and are proud parents to their joyful daughter, Annalyn Kelle.

JUSTIN NELSON | PROJECT 7

Justin Nelson and his wife, Dyana, have served as Student Pastors at Hodge United Pentecostal Church since 2022. Married for ten years, they are proud parents to Bindi, Everleigh, and Ryder.

Justin is bi-vocational, serving as Vice President of his family’s mill in Castor, Louisiana, while Dyana faithfully serves their family as a full-time mom. Justin’s roots in the Louisiana Campgrounds run deep, with some of his favorite memories coming from his time on the SALT team at Kids Kamp.

He is honored to serve the Louisiana District as the P7 Coordinator and is passionate about helping students find their voice, equipping them to share the Gospel boldly in their schools and communities.

KYLE GRISSOM | CMI

Kyle Grissom serves as the Campus Ministries Leader for Louisiana District Youth Ministries. He is a full-time Bible study teacher at his local church and has faithfully served on youth staff since 2024. Kyle is passionate about discipling students, grounding them in Scripture, and helping young people develop a strong, personal walk with God both on campus and beyond.
